Key Deadlines for Massachusetts Primary Election on Sept. 1st

July 31, 2026

Brothers and Sisters,

The Massachusetts State Primary is Tuesday, September 1, and it’s one of the most important ways we can make our voice heard as union members. Races for City Council, the State House, and Congress are all on the ballot — the offices that decide prevailing wage, approve project labor agreements and uphold our industry standards.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • Register to Vote by Saturday, August 22
  • Request a Mail Ballot by Tuesday, August 25 (by mail, online, or in person)
  • Early Voting: Saturday, August 22 – Friday, August 28 at locations across Massachusetts
  • Election Day: Tuesday, September 1, polls open 7:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Visit mass.gov/vote or vote.org to register, check your registration status, or request your ballot.

Check with your city/town for hours and sites on early voting.

Make a plan, bring a Brother or Sister with you, and make your voice heard.

In Solidarity,
Russell Bartash
President
